Iglesia Santo Domingo – Santiago Chile 2014 – Part 1

A year ago you would’ve found me in Chile. These pictures were taken after running some errands in Santiago when I stopped to admire this buidling. This beautiful church is called Iglesia Santo Domingo and it was built in 1747 by Juan de Los Santos Vasconcellos. It was consecrated to Our Lady of Rosary of Pompey. Since it was built it has been reconstructed 4 times and it was declared a Chilean historical monument in 1951. It is a beautiful neo-classical architectural wonder and my pictures don’t serve it justice.SantoDomingoside2wtr
